Christian Horner reacts to end of fairy tale marriage: "All our greatest moments are..."

The fairytale marriage between Red Bull Racing and Adrian Newey comes to an end. The Austrian team announced in a press release that master designer Newey will leave the team at the beginning of 2025. Team principal and good friend of Newey, Christian Horner, reacts to the departure of the design guru. Newey had been the technical mastermind behind Red Bull's successful and often dominant designs since 2006. He thus secured the team seven drivers' titles and six constructors' championships.

Christian Horner, who as team principal worked with Newey for all those years, pays tribute to his good friend: “All our greatest moments of the last 20 years have come with Adrian's hand on the technical tiller. His vision and brilliance have helped us to thirteen titles in twenty seasons. His exceptional ability to look beyond F1 and provide broader inspiration for the design of Grand Prix cars, his remarkable talent for embracing change and finding the most rewarding areas of the regulations to focus on, and his relentless will to win have helped Red Bull Racing to become a greater force than I think even the late Dietrich Mateschitz could have imagined. What's more, the last 19 years with Adrian have been tremendous fun.”
