Force India verschijnt ook in 2016 aan de start met Nico Hülkenberg en Sergio Pérez. Het Sahara Force India F1-team van Vijay Mallya kwam in Barcelona gelijk bij de eerste test in actie met de nieuwe VJM09. Niet alleen de auto is nieuw, ook het helmdesign van Sergio Pérez is nieuw.
